I received this book as a complimentary copy for an honest review. This is the first book I have read from Author Pamela Aares.
This is the story of a woman, Chloe, who looses her father, her last living relative, and inherits a baseball team. I really liked how the relationship with her father and the loss of him was approached, it brought another detention to this story and made you love Chloe. She struggles with the grief and loss while falling in love with a man who is off limits. Scotty the pitcher of her baseball team is a sweet, sexy man who falls hard for Chloe and wants to find a way to be together.
There are many interesting twists and turns in this book that kept my interest in the story. The struggles that are faced with the press and the many obstacles that are thrown in the way of having a relationship along the way made me keep turning the pages to find out what was next.
I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Alana is an artist living the good life in Paris, hot rich boyfriend, parties, friends, shopping and nothing to tie her down. Then she finds out that her grandmother has passed away and she has inherited a olive tree ranch with all of the responsibilities and problems that come with it.
Matt is a baseball player. His wife was killed in a plane crash leaving him with a daughter that he loves more than anything. He meets Alana when he tours the ranch and there is an instant attraction.
Sparks fly whenever they are together, but Alana has no interest in having an instant family or being a stepmother.
I loved this book, it was a fun read and kept me encased in their world, The characters and places are well written and fun to "hang out with". This is one of those books you just feel good about. It can be read as a stand-alone but is part of a series. I am very much enjoying this series and Liking the author more and more with each book.
